KATHMANDU: The Sri Lankan Airlines is all set to operate direct flights from Kathmandu to Sri Lanka from today.
Raj Kumar Chhetri, spokesperson at Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), informed that Sri Lankan Airlines was allowed for the Kathmandu-Sri Lanka flight twice a week.
He further said the airlines had applied for the aviation permit for the summer season till September 4. “The company would also apply for further flight permission by observing the situation,” he added.
It has shown interest to conduct flights at the Gautam Buddha International Airport which is under construction in Bhairahawa.
