KATHMANDU: A single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR has refused to issue an interim order in the writ petition filed by former executive director Hitendra Dev Shakya in the Supreme Court against appointment of Kulman Ghising in Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Shakya had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court demanding to allow him to continue working as the executive director in NEA.
Refusing to issue an interim order to reinstate him, the SC has sought with the government different files regarding the decision of the Cabinet to appoint Ghising as executive director of NEA, the decision of the NEA board and the agreement paper between Shakya and NEA within three days.
