KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has issued an interim order against the Social Security Fund in favor of bankers. After four days of continuous hearings, the full bench passed an interim order in favor of the employees. Employees demanded that the Social Security Fund be made voluntary.
However, this is not the final order. The Supreme Court issued an interim order not to put pressure on banks and financial institutions to join the Social Security Fund unless they are voluntarily affiliated.
While the government had been forcing bankers to join the social security fund, bankers had been saying that joining the social security fund should be voluntary.
