KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,980.61 today after gaining 97.21 points from the last trading day’s close.
This is the highest ever points-gain for a single trading session. The NEpse index seems to have bounced back in great health from the support zone at the 2,800 level, but whether the index will surpass the most recent high remains a puzzle to be solved for this fiscal year.
In the fiscal year 2077-78, the index gained an impressive 111.64% and closed at 2,883.38.
A total of 28,863,093 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs 11.638 billion in the turnover amount. This is higher than the previous trading sessions’ turnover of Rs 8.14 billion.
The float index is at 207.99 after gaining 7.66 points while the Sensitive index is at 560.96 after gaining 19.55 points.
