KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has started the process to revise the budget for 2021-22 fiscal year introduced by the KP Sharma Oli-led government through ordinance.
The newly-appointed Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, assuming his office on Wednesday, said that the government will revise the budget as per the road map of the new government.
“The budget will be revised as per the vision of the new government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba,” said Sharma. Citing that the new government has the authority to make changes in the budget launched through ordinance or completely replace it, Sharma said that the government will reach to a conclusion following some discussions.
Ministry officials informed that preparations has already been initiated to introduce a new budget.
Minister Sharma also said that the budget will focus on uplifting the Covid-hit economy and ensure ample vaccines to the public.
