KATHMANDU: Roads in almost three dozens places across the country have been damaged and blocked due to the ongoing floods and landslides havoc.
The Department of Roads (DoR) has stated that some three dozens of road sections have been blocked partially or fully due to floods and landslides
Deputy Director General of the DoR Bhuwan Adhikari informed that works are underway to clear blocked sections and resume transportation.
As per the department, the landslide affected Sanphebgar-Martadi-Kolti highway, Panchkhal-Melamchi-Timbu section, Baglung section of Pushpalal (Mid Hills) highway, Dumre-Besisahar-Chame highway, Kathmandu-Dhulikhel-Dolalghat, Khadichaur-Kodari section under Araniko highway.
Likewise, Amelia-Tulsipur, Chinch-Kudu-Jajarkot-Dunai, Dho-Tinje-Maris roads under Rapti highway and Shitalpati-Tharmare Musikot section have also been blocked.
