Apex court refuses interim order on House dissolution case, hearing to continue from June 23

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has temporarily halted the hearing of the petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives continuously from June 23.

A five-member constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana refused to issue interim o the case but decided to ask the government to explain why it dissolved the House.

Had the SC issued an interim order today, the House would have been reinstated until the next decision.

The constitutional bench has also decided to continue hearing on the House dissolution case from June 23.
