Bibeksheel founder Ujjwal Thapa no more

KATHMANDU: Ujjwal Thapa, a leader of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party, has passed away.

Milan Pandey, chairman of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, confirmed that Thapa, 44, breathed his last at 4:25 pm on Tuesday.

Thapa, who is the founder of Bibeksheel Nepali Dal, was undergoing treatment for the past few weeks after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 infection and his health was critical.

A few days before his death, he was provided treatment through the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) method at Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Kathmandu.
