KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gained 12.54 points today and closed at 2,827.93. This is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepse.
The index opened at 2,831.95 and made the intraday high at 2,854.45. While it went as low as 2,815.86, it ultimately closed at 2,827.93. 42,636,348 shares traded hands via 1,73,537 transactions.
The trading of 219 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs 17.028 billion. This is the highest intraday turnover recorded in the history of Nepse.
