Finance Ministry unveils Economic Survey, achieving 4.01% economic growth challenging

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has released the Economic Survey of 2020-21 fiscal year.

Unveiling the Economic Survey, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that the second wave of the Covid-19 is affecting the economy and achieving the revised growth target of 4.01% for 2020-21 fiscal year is challenging.

On the occasion, Finance Secretary Sishir Dhungana informed that majority of economic indicators, that were hit hard by the first wave of coronavirus, are positive today though the second wave of Covid-19 might change things.

The Ministry of Finance is unveiling budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year on Saturday through ordinance.
