Nepse sets new record

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gained 13.09 points today and closed at 2,780.81.

The index had been breaking records and creating all-time highs for the last three days. The index opened at 2,816.26 and made the intraday high at 2,821.86. While the index went as low as 2,769.72, it ultimately closed at 2,780.81.

25,121,554 shares traded hands via 1,32,369 transactions. The trading of 214 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs 11.95 billion.

This is the highest turnover in the history of NEPSE. The last all-time high record was broken just yesterday.

While the float index lost 0.68 points and closed at 190.74, the Sensitive index is at 496.14 after losing 1.08 points.
