Nepal Telecom witness decline in profit by 22.21%

KATHMANDU: The state-owned Nepal Telecom (NT) has witnessed sharp decline in its profit.

As per the company’s financial statements of the third quarter this year, its profit has come down by 22.21 percent compared to its profit during the same period of the last year.

NT, which had made a profit of Rs 7.56 billion till the third quarter last year, has recorded only Rs 5.88 billion profit till the same period this year.

NT’s total revenue fell by 1.85 percent while revenue from service sales has increased by 2.29 percent. The company had a turnover of Rs 26.83 billion last year while its turnover till the third quarter this year has been Rs 27.45 billion.
