KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has handed over 200 oxygen concentrators (8-liter capacity) to the government through its member Hongshi-Shivam Cement.
President of the confederation, Satish Kumar More, handed over the oxygen concentrator to Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi on Tuesday. Receiving the support, Minister Tripathi said that the oxygen concentrators will be used as an alternative to oxygen cylinders amid current crisis.
Similarly, CNI president More mentioned that the private sector is with the government and will support it by any means to contain the current pandemic and overcome this health crisis.
With the second wave of Covid-19 spreading rapidly in Nepal, the government has imposed prohibitory order across major parts of the country. As the pandemic continues to grow, hospitals across the country are facing shortage of oxygen and oxygen cylinders.
