KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gained 25.82 points and closed at 2,611.10. The index opened at 2,601.21 and immediately made the intraday low at 2,583.18.
However, this was the most that the bears could pull the index today. Nepse eventually gained and ultimately closed near the intraday-high of 2,611.37. 9,818,046 shares traded hands via 50,673 transactions. The trading of 217 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs 4.35 billion. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs 5.1 billion.
While the float index gained 1.71 points and closed at 180.13, the Sensitive index is at 469.02 after gaining 3.91 points. Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 30.96 crores. Its shares also traded the most.
