Govt decides to shut educational institutions till May 14

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to close schools and colleges in the city areas with high risk of COVID-19 till May 14.

The COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee had recommended the government to close schools and colleges in areas with high risk of COVID-19. However, the government has asked schools and colleges to continue their virtual classes.

Earlier, the government had declared Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Rupandehi, Chitwan, Banke, Parsa, Kailali, Morang, Dang, Surkhet, Bara and Banglung as the districts with high risk of COVID-19.
