KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Neelam Timsina and Bam Bahadur Mishra as deputy governors of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
The Cabinet meeting sat this evening decided to appoint Timsina, executive director, Public Debt Management Department of NRB and Mishra, executive director, Foreign Exchange Management Department of the central bank as deputy governors.
Mishra and Timsina were appointed to the post based on recommendation of the governor of NRB and proposal of the Ministry of Finance.
The NRB was without deputy governors since last one week as the post become vacant after deputy governors Chintamani Shivakoti and Shivaraj Shrestha retired on March 3 after completing their five-year tenure.
