Ncell’s ‘Sahayatri SIM’ for outbound Nepali workers

The reason behind the decision of Axiata Group, the parent company of Ncell, to exit Nepal.

KATHMANDU: Ncell Axiata Limited has launched ‘Sahayatri SIM’, a special offer for individuals who are planning to go abroad for foreign employment, and their family members. From bundled services in starter pack to attractive bonuses and free roaming service are the key features of the SIM.

This attractive SIM offer has come into effect from Friday (February 26). The company has introduced this SIM as a part of its ongoing campaign #FastForwardLife which aims to encourage everyone to reimagine the future and fast forward their life with power of digital.

“Sahayatri SIM aims to support potential outbound workers in their whole journey once they make a mind to go for employment in overseas job markets. All the offers included in the SIM are related to their journey and easy communication of family members with workers. For example, Ncell Jobshop helps aspirants to find a job when they are in Nepal. And there is also an offer in this SIM which allows subscribers to call India at a local rate,” said Ncell in a statement.

The special SIM costs just Rs. 99 including taxes and comes with Rs 20 main balance, 200 MB data valid for 7 days, 20 minutes of on net talk time along 20 on net SMS valid for 7 days. There are multiple valuable features which include a bonus on the first recharge, 10% bonus balance on every recharge for 12 months, free roaming service of 15 minutes for making calls to Nepal and in respective roaming countries. Currently, the resource can be used in India, Qatar, UAE, Malaysia, Kuwait, Oman, and South Korea.

In this SIM, subscribers get free activation of Call Aayo Paisa Payo to enjoy receiving bonus on international incoming calls, and there is also a facility to make missed calls even when the balance is low. Furthermore, customers can make calls to any Indian number at a local rate of Rs. 1.99 per minute excluding taxes. These features make the SIM a must have connection for family members of Nepali working abroad to remain stay connected conveniently and take benefit from offers.

As per Ncell, Subscribers of the SIM get free access to Ncell Jobshop for one month. They will also get 50% discount on the monthly plan of Ncell Jobshop after one month.

Similarly, customers can easily subscribe the Sahayatri SIM from the nearest Ncell Centre or any Ncell Authorised Shop by submitting a passport sized photo and citizenship certificate, the company stated.

On the first recharge of Rs. 100 and above within the midnight of the next day after SIM subscription, customers get bonus talk time and data. For instance, if subscribers top up Rs. 100, they are entitled to get a bonus 100 minutes talk time valid within the Ncell network and 100MB data with a validity of 7 days.

The 10% bonus which customers get for 12 months on every recharge, can be used for PayG services within Ncell network for 7 days. With this SIM, customers even when they have low balance can give missed calls to desired numbers in Malaysia, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, South Korea, and Bahrain. There is also free activation of ‘Call Aayo Paisa Payo’ under which subscribers get a bonus while receiving international calls.
