KATHMANDU: The government is set to study the commercial feasibility of 5G service in four cities of the country.
Anil Kumar Dutta, joint secretary at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, said that a study will be carried out check the commercial feasibility and viability of the 5G service and the study will be done by Nepal Telecom (NT).
As per Dutta, the government plans to conduct such studies in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar and Birgunj. “The study will be carried out in conjunction with the Digital Nepal campaign of the government as 5G technology is also required to meet some of the campaign’s objectives,” he said.
