KATHMANDU: As the Bird Flu has been detected in different places across the country including in Tarkeshwor Municipality of Kathmandu, the government and experts have suggested people to be cautious while consuming chicken.
The flu has been discovered in birds including turkey, ducks, and chicken in local poultry farms.
The Central Animal Disease Investigation Laboratory, after testing samples of birds through the PCR method, confirmed that they were carrying the virus.
Meanwhile, the Department of Livestock Services said that necessary measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the Bird Flu.
