KATHMANDU: Though the government allowed operation of movie theatres after almost one year, entrepreneurs say that they are having no business at all.
While there are few audiences for new Hindi released movies, theatres featuring Nepali movies are almost empty, as per theatre entrepreneurs.
“Theatres are open but there is no business. It seems the business will remain down until a good Hindi movie is released and the COVID-19 is completely normal,” said Sumit Mainali, promoter of Qs CInema.
Meanwhile, even new movies are not being released as movie producers themselves are waiting the situation to be normal.
