Trade via Tatopani border point to remain halted for three weeks

KATHMANDU: Trade through the Tatopani border point has been halted for three weeks citing the maintenance of the Miteri Bridge connecting Nepal and China.

Lal Bahadur Khatri, chief of the Tatopani Dry Port Customs Office, said that China has is repairing the bridge and it will take almost three weeks to complete repairing the bridge. “Thus, no trade will be carried via this border point with China for three weeks,” he said.

The Miteri Bridge, which was damaged by floods in Bhotekoshi last monsoon. As per Khatri,  China has stopped the trade to work on the maintenance of the bridge.
