KATHMANDU: The Nepali flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has excelled in transporting passengers from Kathmandu to foreign destinations in December.
Of the 20 airlines, NAC has served the largest number of passengers. In a period of one month, 66,000 passengers have taken service on international flights. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, a total of 717 international flights have landed in December.
Of these, 32,170 passengers have arrived in Kathmandu through 359 flights and 34,427 passengers have departed through 358 flights.
In this one-month passenger service, Nepal Airlines Corporation is at the forefront among 20 international airlines in terms of service operation. During this period, the Corporation has served about 20,000 (19,988) passengers through 153 flights. According to the NEA report, 8,975 people flew from Kathmandu to various destinations and 11,013 people arrived.
Despite the inconvenience caused by the cowardly PCR report of some passengers on the Hong Kong flight, NAC has continued the service. The Kathmandu-Delhi flight, which has been closed since last April, also started this month. NAC is flying from Nepal.
Similarly, Qatar Airways became the second-largest flight and passenger service provider for Nepal in December. The company has served 14,785 passengers from 64 flights. A total of 7,950 people departed from Kathmandu on Qatar Airways flights while 6,950 people arrived.
Similarly, seven thousand one hundred and sixty-five passengers have taken service through one hundred and twenty flights of the private sector Nepali airline Himalayan Airlines.
