KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) is scheduled to continue hearings on above a dozen of writ petitions filed against the house dissolution decision of the government today.
Earlier, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, on recommendation of the government, had dissolved the House of Representatives and announced mid-term election on April 30 and May 10. The decision is being criticized from different quarters.
SC has formed a five-member constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana for hearings on the writ petitions in this case. At the earlier hearing, the petitioners have demanded a full bench for the hearing on the case.
