KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and Indian company CG Infrata-BDA (JV) has inked an agreement to develop a master plan of Nijgadh International Airport, a national pride project.
CAAN spokesperson Raj Kumar Chhetri said that the the authority asked the Indian firm to prepare an updated master plan of the Nijgadh which will take the project development to a next level. Earlier, CAAN had sought Letter of Intent (LoI) from interested companies to develop masterplan of the airport project.
CG Infrata-BDA (JV) has been asked to develop masterplan of the airport project within 13 months at the cost of Rs 298.9 million.
Earlier, then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai had directed the CIAA to prepare the master plan to expedite the project at the earliest.
