NTA Chairman Purushottam Khanal said that he the authority has recently instructed the telecom company to speed up the work despite the delay in the work in the past showing COVID-19.

“We recently wrote a letter instructing the telco to speed up the work,” he said. Similarly, though NTA had awarded UTL to lay optical fibres across Karnali province and Lumbini province, the project has been halted completely as the issue is in the court. After NTA tried scrapping the contract with UTL, UTL had knocked the door of the court.
