Chemical fertilizer from Bangladesh within mid-January

KATHMANDU: The Agriculture Inputs Company Limited (AICL) has said that necessary chemical fertilizers from Bangladesh will be imported by mid-January.

Earlier this week, governments of the two countries had inked an agreement to supply 50,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer to Nepal under government-to-government modality. AICL has recently opened a letter of credit to import fertilizers from Bangladesh.

Similarly, AICL has already appointed Gentrad FZF Company of the United Arab Emirates to supply chemical fertilizers from Bangladesh through bidding.

As per AICL, they are purchasing fertilizers at the $ 259.19 per metric ton from Bangladesh.
