KATHMANDU: Country’s private sector has requested all political parties to take serious, responsible and restrained decisions amid the current crisis and ensure that the political stability achieved since decades of struggle is not affected.
Issuing a joint press statement today, the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) stated that political stability a direct relationship on economic development, and thus, the private sector is skeptical and concerned that the current difficult situation is creating confusion and has a serious impact on the country’s economy and the livelihood of the people.
“At a time when the country is being hit hard and the economy is being severely affected, the private sector is worried that the political instability that has arisen in recent times could lead to more serious consequences and instability. Thus, we, FNCCI, CNI and NCC urge all political parties to be serious in taking the country towards stability by taking wise and restrained decisions,” reads the statement.
