KATHMANDU: Despite claims that the European Union (EU) would soon lift ban on Nepali airlines, it has continued the ban, a recent update on EU’s Air Safety List shows.
Applauding Nepal’s progress in air safety in recent years, the EU last month had hinted to lift the ban and allow Nepali airlines fly over European skies. However, EU has not removed Nepali airlines from its Air Safety List.
EU had first banned Nepali airlines from flying in its skies in 2015 and the restriction continues since then.
