As per the hotel, staffs will be encouraged voluntary retirement with good payment. The hotel currently has 325 staffs.

Similarly, Hotel de l’ Annapurna, another Kathmandu-based five star hotel with 50 years of legacy, is all set to remain close for certain period owing to the hotel’s inability to bear expenses of staffs and other administrative costs.

“More than 40 percent of the revenue is being spent on staffs in recent months. We can run hotel only by spending 20 percent of the revenue on human resources,” informed Shreejana Rana, executive director of the hotel.
