KATHMANDU: The Insurance Board has informed that more than 11,000 insurers have received COVID-19 insurance claims so far.
Raju Raman Poudel, executive director of the board informed that insurance firms are increasingly settling COVID-19 insurance claims in the recent days. “Firms were delaying payments are it is taking time to verify insurance claim applications submitted by people. Firms are clearing the payment as soon as documents submitted are verified,” said Poudel.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) had directed the board and insurance companies to settle insurance claims as soon as possible.
