54th AGM of FNCCI starts today

KATHMANDU: The annual general meeting (AGM) of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is beginning from today.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the virtual AGM of the organization at 11:30 am. The AGM is followed by organization’s election which will take place in FNCCI’s office at Teku, Babarmahal and Pragya Pratisthan.

The first day (today) will have events related to the 54th AGM while election will be held on Friday and Saturday, as per FNCCI.

As per FNCCI Election Committee, 137 industrialists will be fighting for 63 different executive committee posts of the organization.

The FNCCI statute has a provision whereby the current senior vice-president will automatically be the president of the organization for next tenure. Except for senior vice-president post, election will be held for all other posts
