KATHMANDU: Import of merchandise goods has come down by 10 percent in the first four months of the current fiscal.
While import dropped by 10 percent, export of goods also increased by 10 percent, shows statistics maintained my the Department of Customs (DoC).
As per DoC, Nepal imported goods worth Rs 402 billion in the first four months this year against R 450 worth of import during the same period last year.
Similarly, goods worth Rs 40.2 billion were exported till mid-November this year compared to export figure worth Rs 36.27 billion during the same period in 2019-20.
