Nepal to import 250 megawatt electricity from India this winter

KATHMANDU: Nepal will import 250 megawatt of electricity from India this winter, as per Nepal Electricity (NEA).

NEA informed that India has approved export of 250 megawatt of electricity to Nepal for the winter season this year.

Meanwhile, NEA officials also informed that talks are underway to export some 500 megawatt electricity to India from next monsoon as the country will soon have surplus electricity production.
