KATHMANDU: Deepak Raj Joshi, former chief executive office (CEO) of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has been recognized with the prestigious ‘Tourism Heroes Award’ by the World Tourism Network.
It is the first time that any Nepali, in fact a South Asian national to have bagged the award and been enlisted as a member of the “International Hall of Tourism Heroes”.
The award is an recognition to Joshi’s contribution in tourism industry and sustainable development of hospitality sector.
After receiving the award, Joshi thanked the world tourism giants for providing the award and said that the award has inspired him to be more active in tourism development and revival.
