KATHMANDU: Owing to the increasing number of COVID-19cases, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said that it will not issue new bank notes for this Dashain.
This means that public will not be able to exchange new notes from banks during the festival season this year.
“As the pandemic is spreading rapidly, there will not be new note facility for banks and customers this Dashain. We will soon release an official notice in this regard,” informed an official at the Currency Management Department of the central bank.
