As festive season nears auto dealers announce various offers

KATHMANDU: With Dashain and Tihar, the two biggest festivals of the country just around the corner, automobile dealers have started announcing various offers and schemes.

The dealers who were not able to conduct any business when the lockdown and prohibitory orders were imposed are now offering various schemes to lure customers with expectations of boosting their sales during this peak season.
According to the auto dealers, about 40 percent of the vehicles were not traded during the lockdown period. They said that they will still provide the offers even if there aren’t as many sales as expected during the festive period.

Amidst the excitement of the festive season, car owners are keen to ensure their vehicles are road-ready, prompting them to seek out reputable repair centers for routine maintenance and any necessary repairs. As automobile dealers roll out enticing offers to captivate potential buyers, the emphasis on vehicle upkeep remains paramount for existing owners.

Suzuki
CG MotoCorp, the authorized dealer of Suzuki four-wheelers for Nepal and the automotive division of CG Holdings, has introduced the ‘Suzuki Festival Offer’ targeting Dashain. Under the scheme, customers will get cash discounts of up to Rs 350,000 and exchange bonus of up to Rs 200,000.

Customers will also be able to avail the facility of minimum 20 percent down payment, one-year car insurance and vehicle accessories free of cost. The company said that anyone recommending others to buy Suzuki Alto, Espresso and Super Carry will also get attractive cash prizes.

Ford

GO Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Ford vehicles for Nepal, has introduced the ‘Ford Festive Offer’ to encourage more people to buy Ford variants including Aspire, Freestyle and EcoSport.

The company has stated that customers can get regular benefits like cash discount, road tax for the financial year and one-year free insurance under the festive offer. It said that customers will be able to choose one of three offers besides its other offers like cash discounts on car bookings, free road tax and regular insurance.

As per the company, customers will also get a chance to win up to Rs 450,000 by choosing three scratch cards. It guarantees Rs 25,000 to Rs 150,000 on each scratch card. Under this offer, customers can get detailed insurance and basic accessories, the company said.

The company added that since customers do not have to pay installments to the bank for the first six months, it will provide them some relief. Similarly, under deferred payment, customers can get vehicle delivery service with 30 percent down payment and 50 percent delivery order issued by the bank.

Ssangyong Motors

IMS Motors, the official dealer of Ssangyong Motors and part of the IMS Group, has also come up with the ‘Ssangyong Super Discount’ scheme under which customers will be able to get a discount of Rs 300,000 on the Korean luxury SUV XLV. In addition, customers will be able to get an exchange bonus of Rs 200,000 for exchanging their old vehicles with its Tivoli or XLV models.

The company is also offering an additional discount of Rs 1 lakh to those working in the frontline against the coronavirus such as doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and police. As per the company, it will offer customers one-year free insurance, three-year warranty and free servicing, among others.

Hyundai

Laxmi InterContinental, the authorized dealer for Hyundai Automobile in Nepal, has also unveiled its ‘Yespaliko Dashain,Tihar, Welcome to Hyundai Pariwar’ offer targeting Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.
Under this scheme, customers will get attractive cash discounts as well as additional cash discounts of up to Rs 100,000 through scratch cards. Similarly, customers can also win one unit of Hyundai Aura and a unit of Hyundai Grand I10 NIOS through a lucky draw under the bumper prize.

In addition, customers will also get one-year free insurance. The company has decided to give a special package in honor of the dedication and tireless service of the healthcare workers during this difficult time. In addition, the company says all Hyundai vehicles will be available with a three-year warranty, four-year free servicing, and one-year free vehicle tax payment with ownership transfer.

Tata Motors

Sipradi Trading, the sole authorized distributor of Tata Motors for Nepal, has also introduced the ‘Tata Motors Dashain’ offer under which customers will get cash discount of up to Rs 400,000 on the purchase of a Tata passenger vehicle. Besides, it will also offer one-year free vehicle tax, gift on evaluation of each vehicle and attractive giftsfor a test drive. The company will also provide an exchange bonus of up to Rs 50,000 that can be received with any vehicle exchange.

Nissan

Pioneer MotoCorp, the official dealer of Nissan vehicles for Nepal, has also announced its festive offer called ‘Nissan Dhamakedar Dashain, Tihar and Chhath’. Under this scheme, customers will be able to buy a car on zero percent down payment. The company will pay the EMI for up to nine months. In case the offer is missed, customers will be able to get a maximum cash discount of up to Rs two million. According to the company, customers will be able to get a Redmi Note Pro Max mobile phone worth Rs 35,999.
