KATHMANDU: Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, will operate three regular flights a week to Nepal from October 1.
Abdullah Tuncer Kececi, Nepal head of Turkish Airlines, informed that plans are afoot to start regular flights, at least three in a week, to Nepal from October 1. “Given the demand of Nepal as a tourist destination as well as foreigners and Nepalese living in other countries, we are preparing to start and increase the number of flights for the coming months,” said Kececi.
As per him, over three million people from different parts of the world have visited Turkey since July after the country opened itself to international tourists.
Both international and domestic flights were halted since March 24 after the government decided to impose nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of coronaviurs.
