KATHMANDU: The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday has decided to honor late Ang Rita Sherpa, who was famously known as the Snow Leopard, at his funeral.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the government will take all the responsibility of his funeral.
Sherpa had passed away on Monday at his daughter’s residence in Jorpati.
As per the ministry, Sherpa’s funeral will take place at 9am on Wednesday according to Sherpa rituals. He will be receiving his last honor on the premises of the Sherpa Gumba in Boudha on Wednesday and his final rites will take place at PachaliGhat, Teku.
