Hyundai launches upgraded version of Creta in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai Motors for Nepal, has unveiled its new edition of the Hyundai SUV Creta.

The company stated that the new Creta is a completely updated version. Since the previous version of the Creta was launched in 2015 the vehicle has seen sales increasing tremendously, the company said in a statement. And to offer a better experience to its customers, Hyundai has introduced the new model by embedding additional options of advanced technology to address the demand of the users.

The new version of Creta with five-seat capacity features premium cabin, split headlamps, new steering wheel, body sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen, advanced instrument cluster, Blue Link connected car technology and e-parking brakes. The upgraded version comes with a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine from the Kia Celtos.

Hyundai has informed that the price of the new version will be the same as the previous one. “Creta, which was launched in 2015, has succeeded in becoming the most popular SUV in the Nepali auto market today. We hope to increase customer interest with this latest model,” said Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, deputy general manager of the company.

The 1,500cc SUV is capable of generating 143 breaking horsepower at 6,300 revolution per minute ‘rpm’ and 144 horsepower at 4,500 rpm.
