New map to be inscribed on Re 1 and Rs 2 coins

KATHMANDU: According to a recent decision made by the government, the new map of Nepal which includes Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh will be inscribed on Re 1 and Rs 2 coins.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday approved the design of the coins with the map that was endorsed by the Cabinet on May 18, 2020.

Announcing the decision of the Cabinet on Tuesday, the government’s Spokesperson and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Gyawali, said that the newly issued map of Nepal would be inscribed on the coins.
