KATHMANDU: The government has blacklisted Omni Business Corporate International (OBCI), popularly known as Omni Group.
Publishing a notice, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) informed that the firm has been blacklisted and barred it from participating on any government contract and procurement processes.
Omni Group had faced criticism for failing to supply essential medical equipment and products on time during the pandemic. Questions were also raised about the accountability of the medical equipment procurement process and the standard of testing kits.
As the result, the government had scrapped Rs 340-million medical gears supply contract with the company in April.
