KATHMANDU: The District Administration Offices (DAO) of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have decided to ease the three-week-long prohibitory order from today in the Kathmandu Valley.
Earlier on Wednesday, chief district officers (CDOs) of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur had recommended the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) to ease the lockdown in Kathmandu Valley.
Following a ‘go-ahead’ from MoHA, the CDOs of the three respective districts had officially announced the easing of the lockdown on Wednesday evening.
As per sources, plans are afoot to ease the lockdown from Thursday in the valley allowing vehicles to ply on an odd-even vehicle registration number basis,operation of grocery stores for a fixed time and also operation of firms and businesses by adopting effective safety measures.
However, restrictions will continue on the operation of restaurants, hotels, entertainment centers, mass public gatherings and any type of ceremony.
