54 tenders of East-West Railway Project cancelled

KATHMANDU: The Railway Department has cancelled 54 tenders of the East-West Railway Project.

These tender notice were announced on June 28 and July 1 but entered controversy after the department was charged of announcing biased tender notices that favored participation of only few bidders.

Similarly, the department was also critisized for announcing tenders without completing land acquisition process for the project.
