KATHMANDU: KATHMANDU: The Department of Customs has extended the renewal period for traders to renew their Exim codes till mid-September in view of the unfavorable circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the Customs Bylaw 2064, traders need to renew their Exim code before the start of the new fiscal year. However, traders could not renew their Exim codes on time due to the lockdown and other prohibitory orders which halted mobility and operation of offices.
The department also informed that traders can renew their Exim codes through the online platform.
