NAC to bring passengers who already have tickets from Dubai

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will operate two flights to Dubai to bring home passengers who have already booked their tickets for Nepal.
The national flag carrier has informed that two of its aircraft will fly to Dubai on Sunday. The corporation has requested the passengers who have already availed their tickets to bring their PCR negative report before they can board the flight.
On August 18, the NAC flight that went to Dubai to bring back Nepalis returned to Kathmandu empty as the government halted repatriation flights on the recommendation of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee citing that there was no proper quarantine facility in Kathmandu. Even those who had already bought their tickets and reached the airport to return to Nepal were disappointed as they had to go back to their respective work places and shelters.
However, a Cabinet meeting on Thursday evening reversed the decision of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee and decided to resume rescue flights. The list of hotels that have been equipped with quarantine facilities has also been made public.
