KATHMANDU: Even though the government has decided to impose second phase of lockdown in the Kathmandu Valley effective from Wednesday , banks will remain open and continue to give services.
Nepal Banker Association (NBA), the umbrella body representing 27 commercial banks in the country, informed that banks will provide service throughout the lockdown period through limited branches and staffs.
Bhuvan Dahal, chairman of NBA informed that limited branch offices of banks will remain open throughout the lockdown and cater essential banking services.
However, NBA has urged people to use digital banking services instead of visiting bank offices as far as possible.
